Friar Associates achieved top recognition from CREW CT – The Real Estate Exchange 2016 Blue Ribbon Awards. The firm’s design for the Academy of Aerospace & Engineering in Windsor, Connecticut, won Best in Class: Education Project as well as the People’s Choice Award at this year’s event.
This upgrade and expansion project required a creative approach to transform a standard rectangular box-style commercial building into a striking and effective STEM themed school. The state-of-the-art design will serve to inspire up to 735 students in Grades 6 to 12 each school year as they learn about aerospace and engineering.
